西藏山南地区艺术团组建于1965年，位于山南地区政治、经济、文化中心泽当镇。现有演职人员64人，以表演西藏传统音乐、舞蹈、藏戏等为主，设有舞蹈队、管弦乐队、小型民乐队、创作组、舞美组、曲艺组等多个艺术团组。
山南地区艺术团曾创作演出了大型舞蹈《藏南鼓舞》、《夯杆起踏歌来》、《卓舞》、歌曲《相约雅砻》、《吉祥宝石花》等众多优秀文艺作品，并精心组织、策划、打造了《西藏风》、《吉祥的祝福》、《雅鲁藏布》、《雅砻的祝福》、《和谐山南》等多场大型民俗风情歌舞晚会。在四十多年的艺术表演中共荣获国家、省（自治区）级奖项170多枚。
他们的声音和足迹不仅遍及西藏高原的广大农牧区和全国几十个省区市，还积极走出国门，先后赴法国、荷兰、西班牙、尼泊尔等国访问演出。一些优秀演员和作品曾在日本、澳大利亚、比利时、法国、奥地利、瑞士等国家和香港、澳门、台湾地区进行访问演出，以其富有浓郁民族特色的西藏歌舞表演赢得了观众的欢迎和喜爱。
Introduction of the Tibetan Lhoka Art Troupe
Founded in 1965, Tibetan Lhoka Art Troupe is located in the political, economic and cultural center of the Lhoka Prefecture – Tsetang Town. It has 64 staff members, mainly performing traditional Tibetan music, dance, Tibetan opera and so on. The troupe consists of a dance team, orchestra, mini folk orchestra, workshop, stage design team and Quyi (Chinese folk arts) team.
The troupe has so far created many fine grand dances, such as “Drum Dance of Southern Tibet”, “Rammer Dance”, “Zhuo Dance”, songs like “Meet in Yalong” , “Auspicious Houseleek”, as well as several grand folk song and dance festivals, typified by “Wind of Tibet”, “Auspicious Blessing”, “Yarlung Tsangpo”, “Blessing of Yalong”, “Harmonious Lhoka”. Over the past forty years, the troupe has won over 170 awards at national and provisional (autonomic) levels.
Their voice and footprints have not only covered every corner of Tibet and over several dozens of provinces and municipals, but also gone overseas, such as France, Netherlands, Spain, and Nepal, etc. Some of its outstanding performances with distinguished Tibetan flavor have received a favorable echo from Japan, Australia, Belgium, France, Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
